Elisha graduated from McMaster University, School of Rehabilitation Science in 2007 with a Master of Science (OT). She has since been practicing in a variety of clinical settings, including medicine, rehab, long-term care and the community. Elisha has worked in specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for over fourteen years, with a focus on complex seating/mobility, skin/wound/pressure management, upper limb restoration, functional electrical stimulation, orthotics/splinting, spasticity management, home safety/accessibility and complex rehab technologies/equipment. Elisha works part-time for Therapy First and is also employed at the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, specializing in inpatient spinal cord, amputee and neuro-musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She has worked across the continuum of care, in acute and sub-acute settings as well as program development and administration. Elisha prides herself on delivering evidence-based, best practices through a client/family-centered approach. In addition to being a clinician, Elisha derives satisfaction from her involvement in various communities of practice and professional working groups. As a proud mom of two active children, Elisha enjoys spending her time at the rink, travelling and seeking out adventure as a family.
