Corinna has over 30 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in Winnipeg. After graduating from the University of Manitoba, School Of Medical Rehabilitation in 1991 she started her OT career at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg where she worked on the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit, gaining experience working with patients with a variety of neurological conditions. She spent the majority of her years there working on the Spinal Cord and Amputee Unit and never looked back, finding her passion was working with individuals with spinal cord injuries. Corinna has also enjoyed the opportunity to assist in providing education to the students of the School of Medical Rehabilitation.

From 1998 to 2008 she was the Occupational Therapist for the Manitoba Community Wheelchair Program – aka SMD Wheelchair Services. In 2008 Corinna was honoured to be presented with MSOT’s Outstanding Occupational Therapist award. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba and the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists.

Corinna has co-owned Therapy First since 2004 and beginning in April 2019 she takes over the reins on her own as business partner moves on to new adventures in faraway places. Corinna loves helping clients recognize their potential and return to meaningful occupations in all facets of their lives. Her specialty areas include spinal cord rehabilitation/community integration, assistive technology, wheelchair seating and mobility assessment and prescription, pressure sore prevention and management and home accessibility. Corinna has been certified as a practitioner in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and has completed the pain management course “Pain Foundations for Allied Health Providers” through PainBC.

Corinna is very proud of the team that she has representing Therapy First! In addition to managing Therapy First, Corinna also manages her home life with her husband, 3 adult children and four (yes four) dogs. She spends her spare time refinishing furniture.
