Charmin graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2001, with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy. Charmin has dedicated her career to community practice, and is experienced working in home care and long-term care environments. Charmin loves the diversity of community practice, and feels privileged to meet clients in their home and work together on goals related to maximizing function, independence, and safety. She is known for resourceful problem-solving, and for her compassion, empathy and thoroughness.
Charmin has expertise in the areas of home assessment, wheelchair and seating assessment, transfers, equipment and safe client handling, pressure management, and permanent impairment assessment. Charmin is an experienced educator of safe client handling practices, and was nominated to the University of Manitoba Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Educator Roster of Honour. Charmin is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Charmin lives outside of Winnipeg with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys travel and camping, golfing, hiking and fishing, and being a coach and number one fan for her kids.
