Lea is a graduate from the University of Manitoba with an Advanced Bachelor of Arts (2011) and Master of Occupational Therapy (2013). She has been a practicing Occupational Therapist for over a decade in a variety of practice areas within physical medicine. She has a passion for rehabilitation specifically in spinal cord injury where she has spent most of her career.

Lea is committed to providing person and family centered care. She understands firsthand the toll that injury and illness can take on individuals and their families and strives to provide holistic, kind, and compassionate care to her clients.

Lea has a special interest and additional experience and/or training in specialized wheelchair seating and mobility including custom seating, power mobility and alternative drive controls, assistive technology, housing assessments, upper extremity rehabilitation, wounds and pressure management, and discharge planning. She especially enjoys the challenge of thinking outside the box to find practical solutions.

Outside of work some of her favourite things are: being inspired by her two young children, family jam sessions, visiting the library, and searching for the perfect matcha latte.

Lea is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, and Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists.
